Club Race a Huge Success!

Greetings fellow ERCers!

The club race this morning went unbelievably smooth so we wanted to thank everyone who came out to run or volunteered. In addition showcasing the top local running talent in the area and enjoying cheering on our families and friends, we had the unique opportunity to host some of the fastest competitors nationwide with the top three males (including a visiting Kenyan) covering the 4-mile course in under 20 minutes! On the women's side, Katie McGregor, last Friday's 4th place finisher at the U.S. Olympic 10K trials flew through the course in :21.30. In addition to several club members placing well in their age groups (including a 1-2-3-4 sweep in the female 45-49 category by Lipa - Howland - Dunn - Leavitt), top honors within the ERC went to:

Mark Krause AG3 22:09.2
Kareen Ripperda AG1 24:30.8

It was an amazing experience! A special thanks to all our sponsors including club members:

Jayne Aspan, Dick Pond - Elmhurst
Julie Bruns, Kristy Howland - Elmhurst Park District
Colin Gray - Gray Wolf Group
Tom Adams - Mentor Capital Management
Karen Leavitt - Pathway Community Church
Todd Ripperda - TR Consulting

Today wouldn't have been possible without the commitment and dedication to quality put forth by the planning committee. Our deepest gratitude to:

Lori Wallace, Anne Klein, Karen Leavitt, Darryl May, Joe Sutton and Lou Herrera

Look for more information about the race in the coming weeks (after we all get some sleep!) For complete race results now, please visit www.4on4th.com

Again, THANK YOU all, for your your support.
