Coordinates individuals and/or teams of volunteers to support club events. Supports all aspects of club development. Maintains insurance and legal filings with appropriate individuals and organizations. Supervises affairs of the club under the direction of the Board of Directors. Provides daily support regarding club inquiries and inventories. Presides at all meetings. (2 year term) |

Works closely with Board of Directors and President in particular to provide support to all areas of club development. Potential to serve as transitional leadership position. (1 year term) |
Treasurer: Mark Montgomery |
Conducts financial matters including receipt, disbursement and reconciliation of all club-related funds for both club and race accounts. Maintains all financial records. Prepares and files all tax forms. Works with race committee regarding budgets and reports. Additional duties at request of the President or Board of Directors. (1 year term) |
Secretary: Lori Wallace |
Records or makes provisions for minutes at all formal meetings. Keeps register of formal membership. Has authority to certify the bylaws, resolutions of the Board of Directors and committees and other documents of the organization. Additional duties at request of the President or Board of Directors. (1 year term) |
Runners Council
|
All positions are generally year-long commitments and group provides support to Board of Directors decision-making. Positions may be shared. Assistance is welcome even if an open or new position is not indicated. |

Maintains current membership roster. Works with Newsletter Coordinator to distribute information to prospective members and Board of Directors and other club coordinators to provide membership information. Coordinates volunteers for information tables and/or race packet inserts for local events. Responsible for membership check-in and ballot disbursement at annual meeting. Maintains professional directory.

Communications Liason:

Submits overall club information to CARA, Chicago Athlete, Windy City Sports, Elmhurst Park District and local press. Interfaces with web page support and Newsletter Coordinator. Answers e-mail and/or phone inquiries. |
Newsletter Coordinator:
(Open) |
Writes, produces and edits newsletters for distribution. Works with various area coordinators to collect input. Works with Web developer for posting. Mails paper copies at request. |

Composes, displays and maintains Web site. Establishes links and coordinates with other Web sites as appropriate. |

Provides single point of contact for those interested in marathon training. Implements overall training program. |
Marathon Assistant:

Under the direction of the Marathon Coordinator, addresses administrative and other needs of the program. Liaison to Newsletter and Web Site Coordinators for publishing of program details and race results. Serves as a central point for marathon-related articles and other training-related opportunities. Coordinates social activities for the group. |

Coordinates participants for CARA circuit races communicating information on event details (i.e., date, time), carpools, meeting places, etc. Submits information to CARA, Newsletter, Web Site and Race Results Coordinators. |

Provides single point of contact for non-CARA circuit race results including Internet research on major events. Submits information to Newsletter Coordinator. Maintains race schedule. May expand role to keep statistics if interested. |

Provides presence at the track for speedwork sessions in the spring & summer. May be working out themselves or willing to time others. |

Provides single point of contact for those interested in connecting with others for expanded athletic training. May serve as a distributor for cross training-related articles of interest. |

Coordinate race committee and oversee all aspects of successful race implementation including permitting, insurance, sponsorship, financials, course management, marketing, publicity, community relations, volunteer recruitment, staging, time keeping, awards and CARA standards implementation. Work with Web site and Newsletter coordinators to communicate progress. |

Keeps history of club via pictures and newsletters. |
Other Positions

Individual Events Coordinators: |
Coordinates a specific event on behalf of the club. Aspects include facility scheduling, food procurement, internal and external (if relevant) press releases, recruitment of volunteer assistance, etc. Events include:
- New Year’s Day Run
- Newcomers Run (typically second Saturday in May)
- Guys’ Nights Out
- Breakfast Group (ad hoc)
- Forest Preserve Runs (ad hoc)
- Annual Picnic
- Annual Awards Party

In conjunction with the Race Directors and under the direction of the Board of Directors, implements all aspects of club race. |
